major threats that affect teamwork in workplaces
My team managed to discuss two of the major threats that affect teamwork in workplaces. Throughout all the meetings, I was the chief innovator but happened to be the timekeeper during the second meeting. Based on my experience in the two roles, I realize that group cohesion is one of the fundamental aspects that tie a team together, an aspect discusses by Levi (2014). As the group innovator, I tried to develop team dynamics that ensured that each member remained focused and remained connected to the group. For example, before we started any meeting, I asked the facilitator to give out the mission of that particular meeting the role of each individual, Additional, as discussed by Ndolo (2020), giving and asking for feedback is also one of the strategies that enhance cohesion in teamwork. In my team, I made sure that before we adjourned our meeting, we had few minutes to ask and give feedback regarding the progress of the team such that each member would give his or her own feedback. Secondly, although I wasn’t the facilitator, I would time to time remind my team members on the need to address the conflicts that did arise from time to time from a team point of view instead of person to person conflict. For example, two team members argued dangerously on the best organization to choose as our case study, whereby I intervened and requested the facilitator to have the argument to be discussed and agreed upon by all team members.
