In this article, the researchers offer a medication suggestion of dance movement therapy for addressing dementia. Dance movement has been proved to be a psychological intervention which aims at addressing complexity; hence it is useful for people who have dementia even though its effectiveness is not yet clear.
The selection method is where there was a randomized control trial in any language. The sample selected entails people with dementia in different age groups and various settings. The intervention is delivered through a dance movement therapy practitioner who has formal training on dance movement therapy. The selection method of the participants can impact the ethical principles of the study if they are biased meaning they cannot generate data which can be used on a generalization of the effectiveness of dance movement therapy.
The participants of the study are not vulnerable to anything during the survey. It is because they are not subjected to anybody medication which maybe could have adverse effects on the body. Doing a dance movement therapy only affects the physical body; hence none of the participants is vulnerable.
During the study, none of the participants was subjected to any physical harm or any form of discomfort while carrying out the study. It is because people enjoyed doing the dance movement therapy, which relieved their dementia signs and symptoms.
The researches ensured that they made consideration of every participant’s level of signs and symptoms, ensuring that different severity of the disease, the participants received varying styles and speed of the dance movement therapy. It helped in maximizing the good and minimizing the harm.
The report on the dance movement therapy for dementia does not include the different steps which the researchers used in the protection of privacy and confidentiality of the participants.
