Women and Land in a patriarchal society Introduction Land ownership among women has been proper since time immemorial, especially in a patriarchal society where men are the dominant gender and women have no say in such a community and Kenya is not an exception. Ownership of property for women has been a significant problem affecting women in male dominance society not only about land ownership but feature at large (Kameri Mbote, 2006).
